The IRU Delegation participated in the meeting of experts from China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on November 11, 2009 in Bishkek, which ended up with the decision to activate trilateral Agreement on facilitation of International Road Transport of February 19, 1998 along the highway Tashkent – Andizhan – Sarytash – Irkeshtam - Kashgar. The agreement was reached to exchange the first 150 trilateral permits during the next meeting of experts in April-May 2010 and arrange a demo caravan of 6 trucks a month earlier.
The participants of the meeting expressed their gratitude to the IRU for its constructive efforts to assist activation of the Agreement.
