IRU Projects on revitalisation of the Great Silk Road

This web site carries information on the implementation of the project to develop international haulage by road transport along the Great Silk Road.
The Great Silk Road is the most ancient international transport route which over the centuries connected Europe and Asia.
Its revival has become possible in the 21st century owing to the progress achieved in road transport technologies, development of the network of modern highways, and the measures taken by international organisations and national governments to simplify border-crossing procedures.
